1. Quid Pro Quo Harassment
The latin term quid pro quo translates into "something for something". This type of harassment occurs within the work environment when a worker in a higher authority of power hints or suggests to a lower ranking employee something (normally some type of promotion or raise) in return for some type of sexual demand. This type of harassment can also be displayed when a manager or someone of a higher position states that he or she will not fire or decrease one's pay in exchange for some type of sexual demand or favor. 2. Hostile Environment Sexual Harassment This type of harassment occurs when another worker, employee, or supervisor makes sexual remarks, advances, gestures, or actions towards an employee, while not affecting a workers longevity of employment, makes the working environment intolerable and uncomfortable to work in: better known as a hostile environment.
